After some careful looking, I think I've improved a little at drawing noses! YES!


Self portrait, pencil, A3. I'm quite proud of this one; it's the only drawing I've done so far that looks most like me! I showed it to dad and he could see the resemblance. Having said that, there's still a ways to go for a better likeness. I tried this time to pay more attention to tone, especially around the nose.
And below is me fiddling around with pen, concentrating on the nose (so everything else- like the set of the eyes- looks downright wonky).

Date: 2008-07-13 06:54 pm (UTC)I still wonder if you might darken the area under your nose more, especially given how dark the shadows are under your lip, but it's more of a nitpick than anything else. I think you did a really impressive turnaround. Great work!
